Re:                   Update on Superintendent Search Process

Using the input that was submitted through a survey and several forums, the Sodus Board of Education has interviewed candidates and identified three finalists for the District’s next top administrator:

  • Dr. Joseph Morgan is currently the Superintendent of Schools at Spencer-Van Etten Central School District.  Morgan has previously served as Director of Instructional Technology and Data Management, Principal, Assistant Principal and Advanced Placement Economics Teacher for the Webster Central School District.
  • Dr. Joseph Fantigrossi currently holds the position of Response to Instruction (RTI) Coordinator and Project Director for the Math Science Partnership Grant at Lyons Central School District. Fantigrossi’s previous experience includes: Principal for Fairport High School, Assistant Principal for Pittsford Mendon High School and Assistant Principal for Batavia Middle School.
  • Mr. Nelson Kise is currently the Middle/High School Principal for the Lyons Central School District. Kise was previously a Middle School Principal, Middle/High School Assistant Principal and School Social Worker for Sodus Central School.

The three finalists are scheduled for daylong interviews on Monday, May 9th, Wednesday, May 11th and Thursday, May 12th.

Our Board has worked collectively in narrowing the pool of candidates to these three strong finalists. As a Board, we would also like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to all those who have, or will participate in this hiring process.  We appreciate the involvement that you have had to this point and look forward to the input of those that are part of our committees and your participation while the finalists come out to visit our district.

Best Regards,

Laura Alampi
